Psalm Roar Cambridge
14th March 2026
Saturday 14th March 2026
11am to 4:30pm
St Andrew’s Street Baptist Church, Cambridge
Join your voice to that of Jesus Christ as we sing the psalms. Experience the unity of the Spirit and the encouragement of God’s Word as we sing the psalms together.
The Holy Spirit has given us the psalms to sing. In them we hear the voice of Jesus, who invites us to sing his songs. Come along to this “mini-Roar” to sing the psalms, experience their encouragement, and grow in understanding. This is an event for everyone - whether or not you call yourself ‘musical’. We will be singing the psalms in a variety of styles. The emphasis is on enthusiastic participation rather than musical perfection. No prior knowledge of music is required; once you have booked you will be given exclusive access to a Psalm Learning Page to help you prepare. As we gather to sing the psalms you will be encouraged and emboldened by the power of the words and the strength of the singing.
Come and discover the rich Jesus-centred theology of the psalms. The psalms show us how to rejoice in Christ our Saviour and to know his comfort during seasons of lament and sorrow. As we sing the psalms the message of Christ dwells richly in us.
-
“Let the word of Christ dwell richly among you” says Colossians 3. Come along to discover how the psalms help us connect with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
-
Christians have always turned to the psalms to learn how to pray. As we sing the psalms we pray together as the church, in union with the church across the centuries.
-
Our voices are given that we may glorify God and declare his praises. Come and learn how we might improve our sung worship.
11am to 4:30pm

Preparation: Once you have booked you will be sent a link to a psalm-learning page. The more you learn the music beforehand the more you will benefit from the day and we will be able to sing more psalms.
